The Impossible Boy by Anna Martin

This is not your average love story.

Ben Easton is not your average romantic hero. He’s a tattooed, badass, wannabe rock star, working in a perfectly horrible dive bar in Camden Town. His life is good, and he’s totally unprepared for how one man will turn it upside down.

Stan isn’t your average heroine. As a gender-fluid man, he proudly wears his blond hair long, his heels sky-high, and his makeup perfectly executed. A fashion industry prodigy, Stan is in London after stints working in Italy and New York City, and he quickly falls for Ben’s devil-may-care attitude and the warm, soft heart Ben hides behind it.

Beneath the perfect, elegant exterior, Stan has plenty of scars from teenage battles with anorexia. And it only takes the slightest slip for his demons to rush back in while Ben is away touring with his band. With the band on the brink of a breakthrough, Ben is forced to find a way to balance the opportunity of a lifetime with caring for his beautiful boyfriend.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I want a boyfriend like Ben. Please God, be generous to me and send me Ben's cloning ... please???

This is not the first book of Anna Martin for me, I like her writing style, and the stories usually different.
This one is no exceptional.
When the whole world is still confuse about what gender-fluid is, Anna Martin explained it clearly through Stan.
With his gender matter, and his own problem, Ben is like an angel and Ben is definitely a perfect one for Stan.

This story is so perfect, I couldn't ask for better.
This is not a full of angst with couple problem, no. Ben and Stan are solid. And with their friends in the middle, especially Tone...everything solved. Not without effort of course.
I really like how Ben accepted who and what Stan is, not one blink he questioned Stan's sexuality or his gender. He interested in Stan, boy or girl or whatever. Stan is tan for Ben. Period. Perfect guy.
And Stan knew it.

I like Tone, he's an epitome of a best best friend for Ben and Stan. No filter and all, and Stan surprisingly match with Tone.
I felt for Stan, for what he had been through in the beginning with his family. Thankfully he found Ben after he moved to London.
Stan's struggled with his anorexia is the most part of the story, with Ben beside him, and the loving friends they have, they're going to make it.
I believed they'll have their HEA, because, there's no way Ben can live without his Princess and Stan without his impossible Boy.

Highly recommended!
