REVIEW : The Other Book by Roe Horvat

43380012

It was supposed to be just sex... Famous last words.

Tyler doesn't overthink pleasure and avoids complications. He knows it might be stupid to get involved with his closeted boss, but the temptation is too great. At first, the cold and beautiful Joel Sandstrom seems to loathe Tyler's guts.

Except one late night at the office, his reasons become clear...and his control breaks.

Every time they touch, Joel's stony face comes alive, harsh lines smooth out, and for a minute, he looks serene. Happy, even. Just sex - dirty, intense, spectacular sex.

During their covert encounters, Tyler discovers the power he has over the lonesome man, and it's a heady feeling. What if he could set Joel free and give him peace of mind? When Tyler realizes how much Joel needs him, he doesn't regret breaking his own rules.

Gay erotic romance. Contains explicit scenes and sexual interactions between more than two partners. For adult readers only

Whoa...this is actually my first book of Roe, and it didn't disappoint me. Not at all.
I once remember that Dani suggested me to read this author's books and just got time for this one. And surely I'll look up to his other books.
But as Roe said this book is 'different' from his usual. I think I knew why.
This book is an erotic tale with a story in it. This is a steamy, hot hot hot and definitely not cheap!
A good distraction when you have to wait on your dentist appointment (like me). 😁

REVIEW : Greyson Fox by T.L. Travis

Greyson Fox, the man, the myth, the legend. The highly sought after, self-proclaimed permanent bachelor. Or so the rumor mill goes. Sure, I’ve heard it all – but the one that stung the most was being called a heartless bastard. Love ‘em and leave ‘em, that one in particular I found to be the most humorous since only one man had ever shared my bed more than once, and he’d long since passed away.

I wasn’t the heartless bastard they all proclaimed me to be, but life had a way of kicking me in the teeth…Repeatedly, so I shut my heart off.

For years I thrived, building my empire and living by my own rules. Until one day, the walls came crashing down around me.

Potential trigger warning:
This book contains brief descriptions of human sex trafficking, as well as two mentions of sexual abuse, including a brief description of oral abuse and an attempted sexual assault. There is some physical abuse by the syndicates hands and a drug overdose so if those are trigger points this may not be the book for you.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is an enjoyable read, though the cover doesn't do any justice for Greyson Fox. He's only 40 half of the story.
The earlier half was when he's 20-ish with his first real relationship.
He met Samuel when he's 38 for a one night of a heated hook up. Two years later, fate let them met and the 'real' story of Greyson and Samuel begun.
Greyson Fox is a fluffy cheesy sweet story with a little twist near the end, I didn't complaint about that.
But overall, though it's slightly enjoyable, the story wasn't really memorable.
I think it's an okay read. Nice to try this if you're a fan of the author.

I was wondering what's Cash story after I finished Dom and Lucky's story.
I read about fox hunter awhile back when I read regency romance, and I didn't know that it's still going on in England.
Cash and Rae's first met didn't include foxes at all term, far from it. It was supposed to be just one off hook up. But fate brought them back together unexpectedly, and like it or not, they're involved deeper than they're wish for.
This is a typical Garrett's tale, with angst and a relationship that felt like walking on a thin air.
You know, the feeling that where we keep wondering when will the good times end and the bad times begin. Something really Garrett, I might say.

But as much as I wanted to enjoy this, the fox hunting outnumbered the romance between Rae and Cash. Dom and Lucky also made an appearance, in fact, Dom is quite having some major part in this story. I'm not complaining about it.
Not my favorite of the series, and I'm still rooting for Lucky and Dom, I can't wait for the next installment, Jude.
