“Chance.”

My hand is on the door handle, so I turn towards his voice. Only Tyler is standing much closer than I expected. He’s in my personal space, with only inches between us, an uncertain but determined look on his face.

I gulp. “Yeah?” That came out softer and raspier than I expected.

Tyler reaches out and grabs my wrist gently, pulling my hand off the door to turn me towards him. Then, he just stares up into my eyes from beneath his lashes, his eyes speaking so loudly it’s as if he’s screaming at me. He’s not saying anything, but my body is responding to his unspoken words the way lyrics intersect and wrap around a melody.

He sways towards me a little more and whispers, “I’m glad you said yes.”

Fuck it. This is either going to go up in a ball of flames and burn down to ashes or be one of the best moments of my life. My hand cups the back of Tyler’s neck and brings him closer to me and our mouths fuse together.

Tyler’s lips are soft and hesitant. Probably from the shock of me initiating the first move. Let’s be honest; we’re both surprised over that. But after a few seconds of gentle coaxing, Tyler lets out an almost imperceptible whimper and goes from a passive to an active participant.

He parts his mouth, and I dive in to caress his tongue with my own. Tyler releases my wrist and wraps his arms around my shoulders, trying to pull me closer. Our bodies are closely connected, and I can feel every inch of him against me.

Our kiss is fierce but gentle, dancing tongues and slight nips at each other's lips. With my other hand on Tyler’s lower back, I push his hips towards mine, aligning our fronts together. I can feel his erection pressing into me through my jeans, and my dick is painfully hard trying to find its own escape.

I pull my head back just slightly to take a breath. Rather than separate from him fully, I press a kiss to the side of his mouth. We’re both breathing hard, and I've never been more turned on in my life. I move my lips down his cheek towards his jawline.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The B-Side was a nice story, adorable room-mates to lover. This story has a lot of potential to be a great read. But I'm not too keen of too much telling writing style. That ended with me skimming some parts of this book that I don't think necessary.
I got bored easily reading this kind of writing.
But overall, the story itself has potential, especially when it come to the little boys who called Tyler, "King Tyler".
I wanted to like this one more, but I can only gave it three stars. I like it, but not really enjoying this.

Tanner’s voice dips low when he speaks. “I was a bit in awe of you growing up.”

“Me?” There is no way I heard that right.

“Yeah, you. You didn’t give a shit what anyone thought, and you went through more than most people did.”

“Oh no, I definitely cared.”

“Okay, but you never let it get to you.”

“You know it did. Seizing out at school, feeling sick, the staring—”

“I know.” His soft voice derails the fit I was working up to, and I take a deep breath.

“There was a lot I hated about myself.”

Tanner’s eyebrows bunch up, and he runs one large hand over my head, then snatches it away like he’s second-guessing himself. “There was a lot you hated, but you never hated yourself. You flipped off anyone who gave you shit, and did what you wanted.”

The fact that he sees it that way … My head drops forward as I start laughing. “That’s because I had you. Because I knew that no matter what, shit between us would never change, and if anyone really upset me, you’d kick their ass.”

“Again, that only happened once. I hated fighting.”

“And yet you still beat Toby Michels into the ground when he poured water in my lap and called me a baby.”

Even now, seven years later, Tanner’s jaw gets tighter. “Asshole.”

“See? You always had my back.”

“I always will. It just … pissed me off. I’d see how exhausted and checked out you were before and after a seizure. Those things took a lot out of you. It wasn’t fair that dumbasses thought they could give you shit about it too.”

And lying here, studying my best friend, agreeing to share his bed, going over old memories … it makes me feel lighter than I have in a long time. But I can’t enjoy it. Because of the big gay elephant in the room.

I lick my dry lips as I try to form the words in my head. As I try to convince myself that I need to tell him. Because holding myself back, when he’s making every effort to reconnect, isn’t just uncomfortable for me, it’s unfair to him.

And this closeness—not only the physical part—is starting to mess with my head. I swear his stare dips to my mouth, which makes me do the same. I trace his lips with my gaze, wishing it were my tongue instead. All I want is to press closer, to feel his warmth, to taste his breath.

Suddenly, the thick blanket feels too restrictive.

I need to tell him.

I smiled and nodded, leaning on the counter while I tried to stop my heart from racing a million miles a minute. I’d never felt this nervous before. What was it about seeing Leo that had my stomach in knots?

A snuffling noise distracted me, and I looked over the counter to see an adorable pair of brown eyes gazing up at me.

“Hi there,” I said, reaching my hand tentatively down to gently rub the dog’s head. The brindle fur was soft under my fingers. They pushed into my hand, happily demanding more ear rubs. From the look of them, I thought they might be some form of Staffy, but my knowledge of dogs was iffy at best. “Aren’t you cute?”

The dog huffed happily, and a pink tongue darted out to lick my hand. I chuckled.

“I see you’ve met Angie.” Leo’s gruff voice made me look up. He stood in the doorway behind the counter, tattooed forearms crossed and a little twinkle in his amber eyes.

“Shit. Sorry,” I said, pulling my hand away.

“Don’t apologise. She likes the attention. Don’t you girl?” An uncontrollable grin slid across my lips as I watched Angie potter over to Leo, plopping down next to him and resting her head against his leg. He reached down to rub behind her ears and my heart melted.

I know I’d told Edward I wasn’t interested in dating, but surely it was still okay to look. It wasn’t my fault Leo was genuinely the most handsome man I’d seen in forever or that he unwittingly ticked all the boxes on Jay’s checklist of attractiveness.

He was tall and muscular but not in a way that suggested he spent hours at the gym. He definitely looked strong enough to pick me up though, and I was not going to even consider how much that idea turned me on. His dark hair was pulled up into a messy topknot, and his neatly trimmed beard didn’t hide his wide mouth. And then there were the tattoos.

Lord have fucking mercy.

I’d always found ink attractive, and I had enough of my own, but when I looked at Leo, my lizard brain wanted to strip off his clothes and lick his entire body. I’d seen his two full tattoo sleeves—each one a beautiful series of vines and flowers, intricately woven down his arms—and the simple black geometric pieces that decorated the backs of his hands. Looking at him now, I could also see hints of ink poking out of the collar of the thick knitted sweater he was wearing, the sleeves pushed up to his elbows. Even the idea that he had chest and neck tattoos made my insides squirm.

Natural twenty was a nice sweet friends to lovers that will fulfill your needs for a sweet almost no angst romance. Leo and Jay were actually starting to convinced themselves to start to trust people again and make a new beginning with a new relationship. As Jay had a bad experienced with his last long term ex-boyfriend, Leo never really had a relationship before.
It was a slow process for both of the. Once they were intended to start, next a doubt just came in and made them thinking about their current situation. Thanks to Edward, Jay's best friend who determined to see jay happy again.
As much as I wanted to really enjoyed this story, it felt dragged and too much telling, which is one of my weakness reading a book. I need to read a story that can make me imagine, not told to.
I know I'm not an easy person to please. This story has potential to be more enjoyable, if only...
I'm curious about Edward. His appearance, physically made me want to read about him. So, I'm not giving up to this series yet, not until Edward.

Sometimes, there's always a second chance for two lovers to reunited, even they had to wait for more than a hundred years. And one particular ghost. To make them realized that they were meant to be together in this life.
One more chance, not to be ignored.
There's a long story about Charlie and Ian's story before they needed to understand the past before really together.
Charlie and Ian's story stated with friendship. The problem is, Ian's straight, and never interested in guys before. Like, straight straight. Then why he's so comfortable every time he's with Charlie and wanted to be with Charlie all the time, he didn't understand.
Rachel, the ghost from the past needed to work hard to make them 'see', that they belonged to each other.

It felt right. Like I was finally where I was supposed to be. And who i was supposed to be with. You.
I've never , ever had anything close to this happen to me when I was with anyone else.
Don't ever think you're coming in second place, because you've already won the race before you left the starting gate.

It was a sad heartbreaking about two lovers story from a hundred years ago, and it cannot be repeated. This time, Ian and Charlie, needed a happy ending, not like Eddie and Robert.

"The Ghost and Charlie Muir is a heartbreaking yet a heartwarming second chance love story. This made me think, maybe, just maybe, somewhere some other times, we're all going to have that, in this life, or another life time.

Excerpt: 

I come awake slowly, becoming aware of beeping sounds and the low hum of voices. At first I wonder whether I’ve died, but when I inhale I smell the scent of antiseptic and relax. I’m fairly sure heaven won’t smell of Dettol. I stir, trying to open my eyes, and someone’s hand comes down on mine, the skin so hot it makes me aware of how cold I am and that my teeth are chattering.

“So c-cold,” I mutter.

“It’s okay,” the voice says. “You’re alright, Gid. I’m here.” 

I want to smile because that halting but warm voice belongs to my baby brother, Milo, but sleep beckons me again and I fall into its welcoming arms.

The next time I wake up it’s easier. My eyes flutter open and I wince against the brightness of the light. “Fuck,” I mutter, and a low chuckle sounds from somewhere near me.

“I see your vocabulary hasn’t been improved by your brush with death.”

“Niall!” Milo sounds horrified. “What the hell?”

My best friend and old hook-up chuckles. “Relax. I’ve read that people who have near-death experiences come out of it changed. I thought maybe his intellect would have improved and he’d be using fancy words.”

I shake my head and force my eyes open again. “Oh, my God! That bloody light is burning my retinas. Close the fucking blinds.” My voice sounds thick and unused.

Niall laughs. “No, don’t worry. His intellect is still at base level, as is his temper. Yes sir, I’ll get right on it for your majesty.”

There’s movement and then the room dims welcomingly.
I open my eyes fully to look at my companions and immediately frown. Milo looks worn at the edges, his clothes rumpled and his hair messy, while Niall has huge circles under his eyes. I notice Niall’s hand on my brother’s arm and want to roll my eyes. Since they got together and declared their love it’s been like being on the set of a romance by Barbara Cartland. 

“You both look fucking awful,” I say hoarsely. 

Niall laughs. “Oh my God, you came back with compassion. It’s like Simon Cowell has morphed into Mother Theresa.”

“I certainly didn’t come back with any patience for your shitty sense of humour.”

I want to grab the memories and greedily drink them in, but he pulls me closer, and I’m blind once again to everything but this man. This poetic, perennially cheerful Welsh man who makes me feel safe.

First time I met Gideon on Milo, I knew he need his own story. He got me thinking of him for longer than usual. He didn't even a main character at the moment. I nearly begged Lily to write his story, and my wish came true.
I knew from the start that Gideon was actually someone he didn't let the world see him. He's much more than that, and Eli saw it in him.
Gideon was a broken, lonely man who craved for love and affection, but he covered it with his so called 'star attitude', never ending parties, nameless sex and deep in the closet.

The came Eli, the bossy nurse who won't take 'no' as an answer. And Gideon found that he never mind about that. He needed Eli more than he let himself to.

Gideon was a heartwarming and charming story with a scorching hot sex between Gideon and Eli that you don't want to miss.
I love Gideon and Eli, together they're perfection.
Gideon has easily became my favorite of the series.
And then, the epilogue! OMG! That was the best epilogue of this series! Thank you Lily for writing Gideon's story!

Love this book to bits. Highly recommended!

I already how wonderful Gideon is.
This is my first time listening to Joel's narration, all I can say it was very British.
Luckily Gideon is a British author's story.
So, it's like seeing it with eyes wide open how the story goes.
Though I needed to adjust to Joel's, Joel did it very well and nailed it.
