ARC REVIEW : On Davis Row by N.R. Walker
Nearing the end of a suspended jail sentence should unlock a brighter future for CJ Davis, only the chip on his shoulder is as hard to shift as his bad reputation. Born into a family of career criminals who live down Davis Road, an address the cops have dubbed Davis Row, his name alone is like a rap sheet that makes optimism impossible.
Brand-new parole officer Noah Huxley is determined to see the good in men like CJ. After all, he knows firsthand that bad things can happen to good people. His colleagues mock his doe-eyed optimism, but Noah soon sees CJ’s bad attitude and bravado are weapons he uses to keep people at a distance.
Both men know one simple mistake can change a life forever. At first glance, they might seem to be polar opposites. Yet underneath, they're not that different at all.

What is it with NR Walker that she can make my hear flutter every time I read her book?
I was really looking forward to read this book ever since she teased us with all those love teasers between CJ and Noah. I dropped everything I read, took one day off house work, and enjoying the story. Yesterday was a perfect Saturday for me, because CJ and Noah made me happy, easily just like that.
I was skeptical with CJ the first time, but then after 'knowing' him, he's just too easy to love, you know?
You think he's a criminal? Think again after what he did to his Pops in the past, and he's just silent because what he can do? He was just a kid back then with the lacking of everything, knowledge, love, good family. He's just have Pops who's sick all the time. I wanted to cuddle him knowing what he went through. Good thing is, there's Noah, idealist parole officer, wanted to make CJ a 'better person'.
I can say this is an insta0-love, but with NR Walker style. They wait. They're freaking wait!!! LOL,
I wanted to yell at Noah, just kiss him already Noah! And he didn't. Yet. That proper Noah and his stupid rules. Sigh.
But then something's happened and I wanted to slap Noah for not believing CJ :(
But that's not for long, they talked after that, and CJ made Noah 'understood'.
Gosh, these boys stole my heart easily.
Things ended the way I wanted, not really what CJ wanted though, but I really loved the ending and the 'after the ending'.
CJ and Noah got their HEA, and I'm satisfied and happy.
Really recommended this one for everyone.
