Cash (The Henchmen MC #2) by Jessica Gadziala

27774285

CASH

My life has been about three things- brotherhood, good times, and women. Easy. Nothing complicated. That was until Willow Swift came barging back into my life, face bloodied, banging at the gates of The Henchmen compound calling in a favor owed. Now a marker is a marker and I had to make good, but if there was one woman in the world I didn't need in my life, it was the hard-as-stone, hot-as-sin Willow Swift and whatever mysterious ghosts from her past that were haunting her present.

WILLOW

My life has been nothing but two things: hard and complicated. The last person I wanted in my business was the notorious love-em and leave-em Cash, but I needed help and he was the only one I could lean on without worrying about him finding out about my past. But I was starting to wonder if maybe he was his own kind of dangerous bent on tearing down some things I had long since learned were not possible for me- like falling for a guy I could not, ever, let see the real me.

While this can be read as a stand-alone, you will get more out of this book if you read "Reign" and "Monster" first.

REVIEW :

 ~ FIVE STARS ! ~

LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS BOOK !
Jessica Gadziala makes me addicted to the boys !

I have to admit, that since the first time I met Cash in Reign's book, I was kinda fall for him.
And thought, he probably perfect for Janie, hmm? But Jessica surprised me for pairing him with Lo, the badass boss of Hillstorm. I was really surprised !.
But then, after the first blast of the bomb, I'm hooked. And yes, Cash is definitely the right man for Lo.
*Picture is courtesy of the author*

I liked the play hot-cold, cat-mouse between Cash and Lo, it was so frustrating for both of them.
I was just..."Oh, f*** her already !!" . Ha-ha.
But it was super cute, and hot at the same time. I approved. *Nods*
""I did enjoy last night. You got one sweet pussy for someone so fucking sour. But I can tell you one thing, as much as I enjoyed last night..." "You enjoyed it a helluva lot more. Or was I imagining your pussy squeezing my finger as you came hard enough to wake up my neighbors?"

And speaking about Willow/Lo. OMG!
That was brutal what she had in her past, and wasn't that enough, Jessica, you had to tortured her again? Seriously, girl?
I cried. Like a baby. And I want to jump inside the book to cut her ex's balls and feed him myself ! Grrr!
But, Lo, my girl ! She's just the girl I craved for in my books. Strong, confident, strong. Did I mentioned 'strong'? . Yeah, that.

"I absolutely fucking refuse to fall back into the sadness, to let it surround me until my arms were too tired to keep my head above water anymore. I wasn't that woman anymore. I was never going to be her again."

And while I'm enjoying Cash and Lo, my guy Shooter stole some scenes...and he need his book ASAP! And I really want to know about Wolf and Janie.
Can you write faster, Jessica? Pretty please?

Fair warning : You'll have a dark, brutal story. With some sexy moments betwen the two MCs. Dirty talk. And lots and lots of dirty talk !

So far, this is my favorite of all Jessica's book.
Highly recommended for MC bad boy and badass heroine lovers !

ABOUT THE AUTHOR.

Jessica is a full-time writer from New Jersey who believes coffee is a food group and that her parrots can totally understand her when she talks to them. She can not be trusted with houseplants or to respond to text messages in a reasonable amount of time.

Writing was the only acceptable career path for her from the first time she learned that with just twenty-six letters, she could create whole new worlds. She attempted a string of odd jobs before quitting and taking the blind leap of faith that was trying to make a career out of her passion.

Jessica is a firm believer in snark, strong secondary characters, and HEA.

When she is not writing (which is practically never), she is obsessively trying to read as many books as possible and has totally been known to throw temper tantrums over fictional characters.

JAKE AND DESTINY (one)

This is a story about Jake and Destiny. They haven't met yet, but, who knows what future brings...

JAKE

“Do you know something about destiny? Sometimes it’s just crashed into your life and destroyed you. Sometimes, it’s just happened, and you’re blessed without asking for it” (Jake)

Jakarta, April 2012

He hate it when everything went wrong in the morning. Including this morning when he left his phone  at home. Running back to his apartement at 10th floor, Jake grinning to think he will at least have a few  more morning kiss from his boyfriend, the gorgeous Ashton. Sigh. The man is a sight for his sore eyes for sure.
“Ash…, babe. Wake up gorgeous, do you see my….”

Stopped right in front of his room and saw his so called boyfriend’s mouth was full of a huge cock, and he seemed enjoying it. Both men stopped their activity right away in shock. Jake suddenly hard to breathe, and slowly retreated from ‘them’.

“I was just 15 minutes left and you’re already doing this, Ash?”.

He wanted to yell at Ashton, but yet he only can manage a whisper from his mouth. A man he adores, he love with all his being , now sucking someone’s cock with pleasure? How could he? How could you do this to me, Ashton? And with Brad? His best friend for over than 15 years? Brad?

“I want both of you out, right now. What the fuck, Brad?”

“Jake, baby. I can explain. It not like what you see. Babe please.”
Ashton reached out to him, didn’t care about his nakedness, and a silent Brad.

“No, Ash. Leave, now. Take you things with you, never come back. I’m done with you.”

“Please, Jake. Baby, forgive me. Let me explain.”

“I’m tired of all you explanation. I’m fucking tired of your games. And this is not the first time you’re doing this to me. Get the fuck out of my house.”

Still whispering, he took his phone from a bedside table, walked away from the couple and said his final chore,

“I want you leave, and if you still be here after work, I’ll call a Police to drag you out. “.

With that last words, he closed the door slowly, and headed to work

Not that he can work at all.

BLURB :

Nightclub owner Marcus Feldman never met a man he didn’t love, at least for the night. Although his best friends have all found love, Marcus shuns their advice to commit to one man and settle down. His past has taught him monogamy and marriage is for fools, and Marcus is anything but a fool.

Tyler Reiss’s dream of dancing professionally is unexpectedly cut short and replaced by a different kind of love. He trades in his ballet slippers for go go boots, and spends his nights dancing at the hottest gay club in the city. Flirting with the customers for tips is easy, but resisting the dark and sexy Marcus is becoming harder to do with each passing day.

Unforeseen circumstances bring Marcus and Tyler closer and though they give in to their mutual passion, both still struggle to guard their hearts. When crises threaten, Tyler and Marcus find their strength in each other rather than falling apart. Tyler must choose to either run, or stay and fight for the life he wants, while Marcus realizes that love doesn’t mean losing himself and opens his heart, making him a better man in the end.

EXCERPT

“This wasn’t a permanent arrangement; you knew that.” Tyler leaned against the wall. “I can’t impose on you any longer. I’m sure you want your bedroom and your life back.”

“I didn’t mind it last night.” He walked over to Tyler and placed a hand on his neck, stroking him. This he could do. He had no qualms about seducing Tyler to stay with him. The troubling reason why he wanted him there so badly, Marcus pushed to the side for now. Instead, he pulled Tyler close, settling their hips in line, and his cock thickened in his pants. “I’d tell you if I did. Please, come with me to brunch, and we can talk.”

Doubt clouded Tyler’s eyes. “I don’t belong there. Those are your friends, the people you’re closest with.”

“I had my dick inside you twice last night, Tyler. How much closer could we get?”

It took Marcus many minutes of deep, persuasive kisses to rid Tyler of his confusion. When he pulled away though, the ground under his feet reeled, and Marcus needed a moment to compose himself.

They remained standing close; Tyler’s hands rested on his shoulders while he clasped Tyler around his hips. He nuzzled Tyler’s ear, then pleaded with him.

“Come on; you have to help me out here. They’re all coupled up, and the last thing I want is to listen to them be all disgustingly loving and happy.”

An amused glint lit Taylor’s eyes. “And you hate that, huh?”

“Bet that sweet ass of yours I do.” He gave Tyler’s ass a squeeze for effect, and the light in Tyler’s eyes smoldered.

“If you want me to come, you’d better get your hands off my ass.”

Marcus’s lips curved up in a grin as he popped open the button of Tyler’s jeans and drew them down.

“I definitely want you to come; in every way possible,” he said, and sank to his knees, uncaring of how late he might be to meet Zach and Julian.

REVIEW

~ 5 amazing dancing stars ! ~

"Love was inescapable, indefinable, and sometimes ill-advised. It took you by the throat and shook you until your brain rattled, yet just as gently, cradled you in its loving arms."

Loved this book so hard ! Loved Marcus and Tyler even more!
And they're become my new favorite couple along with my Micah and Josh.
Another winner from Felice Stevens !

Once upon a time, I was stumble to a new book from a new author in MM. Book called Rescued . It was a good book and after that, I stalked the author's every new book. None of her book I haven't read. I read all of Felice's stories, because I loved all of her MCs.
Some people might now know her, yet. But I believe I have a good taste in books, so, it's your lost if you haven't read Felice's books.
(I'm trying not to sound like an ass-licker here, but seriously, if Felice keeping up with her writing style I love, I'll follow her everywhere). Enough.
Now about the book.

Right from the start with Julian and Nick's book, I was already half in love with that slutty Marcus. Hell, I never like a slutty heroes before, but Marcus dug my curiosity and I keep wondering who can tame him in the future.
Funny how faith drive us. We're looking everywhere to our soulmates, and never realised that he's right there close to us. Like Marcus when he found Tyler, a new dancer in his new club.
But Tyler is not an easy target, he's not even Marcus's one night only type.
First encounter was a fist (yeah, seemed like Marcus has a thing with a little jab on his jaw). Tyler got him right there.
"“You may be my boss and pay me , but that’s as far as it goes. I don’t have to like you, or put up with your crap like everyone else here does.”

Curiosity kill a cat. Nah, not for Marcus, he's determined like that. He wanted Tyler and he MUST have Tyler. But what's Tyler told him?
"“I don’t need your help, and no, we won’t get to know each other better. You’re my boss, and you pay me to work for you. That doesn’t include fucking me.”"

Ouch !

Marcus never wanted to fall in love. He didn't need it. As a child, he's lack of that. And he became a bitter man.
"“I didn’t want trips to places that weren’t for children or toys that were too expensive to play with. I wanted parents who wanted me.”"

"He didn’t know how to love anyone, not like his friends loved their partners. He’d seen Julian give himself to Nick and Zach to Sam so completely, and it scared the shit out of him to lose that control, to put someone else first."

And it's so hard for him to admit that he wanted Tyler. He didn't understand why.
"“Why are you here?”
“I have no fucking clue, but I have to find out.”
“Find out what?”
“I don’t know.”“Why you let other men touch and kiss you, but me you push away.” “Why it matters to me.”"

I'm glad Tyler didn't give up too soon for Marcus's undeniable charm, Marcus had to work hard for that, including prolonged his three months bet of celibacy to eight long months of no sex.
But it pays, because Tyler wanted him as much as he wanted Tyler. And Tyler make sure that 'everybody' knows about that!
"“I’m going to make certain that when you leave here tonight, there will be no doubt in anyone’s mind who you belong with from now on.”

As long as I know, there's only two dances that I found erotic AF. One, from my latest Lori Witt's book, and this one. Tyler is one hell of a hot dancer!

And there are also my other guys from the other series, my Micah and Josh !
Not just as cameo, they're helping Tyler and Marcus solved some of their life problems as well ! <3
And I I love how a man of no relationship, no need family like Marcus, falls head over heels over a little girl named Lillie. Aww !
Seriously, I don't care about Marcus's past hurts with his parents, as long as Tyler can make him whole.

"“I don’t want to leave because I need you.” He pressed a clumsy kiss to the corner of Marcus’s mouth. “I love you.” Marcus stilled and held Tyler a bit closer. “Do you know that’s the first time anyone’s ever said that to me?”"

IMHO, Felice is getting better and better with her writing. And I haven't let down even once.
Loved all the boys, and I'm sure there are many more to come . Bring it on Felice !

About the Author

Felice Stevens has always been a romantic at heart. She believes that while life is tough, there is always a happy ending just around the corner. She started reading traditional historical romances when she was a teenager, then life and law school got in the way. It wasn’t until she picked up a copy of Bertrice Small and became swept away to Queen Elizabeth’s court that her interest in romance novels became renewed. But somewhere along the way, her tastes shifted. While she still enjoys a juicy Historical romance, she began experimenting with newer, more cutting edge genres and discovered the world of Male/Male romance. And once she picked up her first, she became so enamored of the authors, the character-driven stories and the overwhelming emotion of the books, she knew she wanted to write her own. Felice lives in New York City with her husband and two children and hopefully soon a cat of her own. Her day begins with a lot of caffeine and ends with a glass or two of red wine. She practices law but daydreams of a time when she can sit by a beach somewhere and write beautiful stories of men falling in love. Although there is bound to be angst along the way, a Happily Ever After is always guaranteed.
