When I started this, I was captivated by the cover. It's gorgeous. Then I read the blurb. And I can't wait to put down my current read to 'meet' James and Theodore. And experiencing their journey.
I worked with mental illness patients for some times when i was an intern in Medical School.
So, i know how it feels to be in Peter side (a therapist). Then a few years back, I worked in an institution, for mental illness patients as well.

Like it or not, I have to compare some previous stories from some authors. The hardest was when I read Unquiet. I also read Lucky Man and We Found Love, Carry the Ocean, The Glass Hour and Disasterology 101, and so many more about mental illness.
I expected a story as hard as Unquiet, but 'Broken', is so much lighter that that one. I can bared it.
I'm also glad that Theodore is a stubborn, no matter how James pushing him away, he's stick like a glue to James. Which, I liked very much.

I liked Max, Isobel, and Tom. James mother can go to hell.
I didn't like Tess as much as I want to be. IMO, she's a bit annoying. So, I ignored her.

I liked how things going with James and Theodore relationship, and how smooth they're about Theodore moving in.
My complained is about Mike, somebody has to kick his ass or fire him, and what happened in James company, the problem is still unsolved with that, and that annoyed me. It's an unsolved mystery for me. I'm OCD like that :)

Overall, this was an enjoyable, not too heavy (at least in my term). Theodore and James are definitely perfect for each other.
